Project Description


Mareba Game Lodge offers you an affordable safari with a large variety and abundance of game roaming thousands of acres of untamed natural bush.

At Mareba we cater for rifle, bow, black powder and wing shooting enthusiasts alike. Exclusivity at our hunting lodge and hunting area are always guaranteed.

Farm Layout

  • Total Area: 3200 ha
  • Hunting Area: 3200 ha
  • Savannah and Thicket Bioms
  • No internal fences or camps in hunting area
  • You don’t have to go through gates to get to the hunting area
  • No Livestock are kept on farm or hunting area


Hunting Season

  • From: 01 April | To: 31 October
  • Shooting range available
  • Slaughtering Facilities available on farm
  • Cold room available on farm
  • Meat can’t be sold back to farm
  • Meat can be arranged to be sold back to a butchery at the nearest town

Hunting Days

  • Monday – Sunday *No hunting on religious holidays (e.g. Christmas, Easter)

  • No specialised hunting method

Surrounding the camp are chalets, offering the essential amenities such as accommodation for two, hot and cold running water, a shower and flushing toilet. A plunge-pool, central to all amenities, allow for some relief after a hot day in the veld. There is a spacious and well designed kitchen, adjacent to the dining room. Full catering or self-catering facilities are available to all our guests.

Approximately 100 meters from the main camp is a permanently tented camp that accommodates up to six people. It has electricity, running hot and cold water, shower and flushing toilet facilities. This is ideal for intimate groups that want to “rough it” a bit.

Approximately 450km from Johannesburg International Airport, Mareba Game Lodge nestles in true Bushveld amidst Thorn and Baobab trees. Here you will find a main camp, and separate tented camp.
